“In order to brighten a rainy Saturday morning this week, I invited a few friends over for a simple summer brunch.
I set up the table using my grandmother’s salad plates, which are some of my favorite family treasures. Each plate is illustrated with a different herb: Chives, Mustard, Borage, Dill. I also placed a white quilted table runner over an embroidered white table cloth and added simple white napkins tied with leather. I loved the varied textures of white-on-white – just perfect for an easy summer morning.
The menu was light fare: biscuits, roasted pork and watermelon with a touch of salt and balsamic vinegar. All were crowd-favorites – it was a perfect morning!”
How do you do brunch in the summer? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
